The DIHELP programme successfully launched its programme of best practices webinars with a webinar dedicated on how to engage regional SMEs in the DIH activities. Best practices webinars will give the opportunities to well-established DIHs to share their best practices on specific topics to help other DIHs to develop themselves and to avoid failure. These peer-learning sessions are open to everyone.

For this webinar, we welcomed:

  • Daumantas Simenas from the Lithuanian robotics DIH. The Lithuanian robotics DIH, coordinated by the Lithuanian RoboticsAssociation (LRA), is a non-profit organisation which seeks to become a “one-stop-shop” for everything related to robotics in Lithuania and currently quickly builds up ecosystem around major robotic solution providers and competence centres.

  • Dr sc. Davorka Moslavac Forjan from CROBOHUB. The Croatian Robotics Digital Innovation Hub, hosted by ICENT, is the key Croatian non-profit facility to support companies to become more competitive by improving their business/production processes as well as products and service by up-taking digital technology and robotic solutions.

Both presentations started with a general presentation of the DIH and were followed by their best practices on how to engage SMEs. Among other lessons learned by the Lithuanian robotics DIH, Daumantas Simenas confirmed that company visits do work and that SMEs need help to connect their problems to solutions. In addition, Davorka Moslavac presented some successful technological application experiments with SMEs.
