During an intensive three days work session that took place in Coimbra on 10-12 of July 2019, key members of the Instituto Pedro Nunes in charge of putting forward the Digital Innovation Hub for the Health & Care sector in Portugal, refined the Hub’s business model and business plan with the support of a DIHELP coach.

The work was focused on having an in-depth description of the Hub’s service portfolio along with its related pricing approach, on building up a clear customer segmentation and on categorizing the different stakeholders involved. Significant progress was also achieved in defining a specific action plan as well as the operational activities required in order to officially launch a self-sustainable Hub on 1 September next year. Such a work plan entails issues like content creation, the governance model and the physical location, infrastructure and human resources needed. The prioritization of those activities and their related deliverables (results) was also an exercise considered pivotal and therefore carried out during the workshop.

This Portuguese Digital Innovation Hub will now complete its sustainable business model in the coming months. The DIHELP Academy will continue to support this process, through regular consultations and webinars on the most relevant topics for the DIH.
